Beth's Blender Modeling Tutorial Review 1

Review of chrispymage's "Blender Tutorial: How to Mold Objects Basic"

This tutorial involves modeling a simple object, which is good for people who haven't had much experience with Blender. In the course of this tutorial, I learned how to make a small tower, which was a little more than I'd done in Blender before.

chrispymage has a nice, friendly tone, and that makes it a little easier to follow him. He doesn't use too many technical terms, which may make new users of Blender feel a little more comfortable. One of the things I found irritating, though, was how chrispymage only used keyboard shortcuts. I was working on the tutorial on a Mac, and the keyboard shortcuts don't work quite the same on a Mac as they do on Windows. I would personally use the menus to do what I needed to do, so the users can see where things are and learn the keyboard shortcuts from there.

Topics covered in this tutorial are learning to subdivide an object, extruding objects, and using Sculpt Mode.
